PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
ProjectSelect™ is a Microsoft Excel based tool that allows users to compare the financial and non-financial benefit of infrastructure alternatives.
The financial comparison portion of the tool allows users to input capital, operation and maintenance (O&M) costs, and borrowing and inflation rates to calculate net present value, equivalent annual cost, payback period, as well as benefit-cost ratios.
The non-financial comparison portion of the tool allows users to evaluate the non-financial benefit of infrastructure options including environmental and social co-benefits.
SOFTWARE AND DATA INPUT REQUIRED
The tool is available online and requires Microsoft Office Excel™ software. Excel™ macros must be enabled for the program to function properly.
